General Meeting of the Kazakhstan Chamber of Mining at MINEX 2026: The Chamber has renewed its Board of Directors and outlined its development priorities
On the second day of MINEX Kazakhstan 2026, the Kazakhstan Chamber of Mining held its annual General Meeting of Members. The agenda covered key issues: the Chamber’s current status, performance and financial results, an overview of the Supervisory Board’s (Management Board’s) activities, as well as practical steps for the near future—ranging from strategy to internal procedures, audits, and charter updates.
A highlight of the event was the presentation of letters of appreciation from the Ministry of Industry and Construction to the sponsors of Kazakhstan Day at PDAC 2026: Pallas Resources, NAC “Kazatomprom,” Aurora Minerals Group, TauGold Copper, and Arras Minerals.
The key event was the election of the new Board of Directors. The new Board consists of:
• Stephen Daniel Kuhn (Kazakhstan Fortescue LLP)
• Simon Cooper (Pallas Resources Limited)
• Aida Alzhanova (Solidcore Resources)
• Madina Kapenova (Aurora Minerals Group)
• Almat Daumov (GRATA International)
The new Board represents a strong balance between international and Kazakhstani companies, as well as a significant step toward gender balance. Congratulations, and we wish you success in your work!
In closing, the Chamber’s vision and strategic development priorities were presented, with an emphasis on practical value for businesses and strengthening the role of industry dialogue. Our task now is to translate this strategy into concrete results for members and the entire mining sector.
The meeting was constructive and, importantly, provided an opportunity for lively interaction among participants.
Special thanks to Solidcore Resources — the sponsor of the 2026 General meeting!
