Chamber Hiking Club: “Beyond the Boardroom – 2”
Last Saturday, the Kazakhstan Chamber of Mines Hiking Club brought together members of the mining community for a hike to Shukur Waterfall in the Big Almaty Gorge.
Representatives of Fortescue, B2Gold, CAIER and Bai Tau Minerals joined the hike. The route took us from Alpine Rose through Lunar Glade to Shukur Waterfall, situated at an altitude of around 2,600 metres.
Several hours on the trail, fresh mountain air and spectacular views provided the perfect setting for informal conversation. Away from conference rooms and formal agendas, participants had an opportunity to get to know one another better and exchange new ideas — the kind of networking for which a mountain trail can sometimes be the best setting. After the descent, the group gathered for lunch at Alpine Rose.
The Chamber Hiking Club will continue its outings. After all, the Chamber is not only about business events and professional dialogue — it is also a community of people who enjoy connecting beyond formal settings.
See you again in the mountains! ⛰️
