The discussion was moderated by Assel Tasmagambetova, founder of the Central Asian Institute for Environmental Research (CAIER). She noted that the integration of ESG approaches into the activities of mining companies is becoming an integral part of the sector's competitiveness and sustainable growth. Mikhail Vasilyev, Head of Non-Financial Reporting at Solidcore Resources, gave a presentation entitled “Solidcore's Comprehensive ESG Strategy: The Mining and Metallurgical Industry's Contribution to Kazakhstan's Sustainable Development.” He shared the company's experience and results in the field of environmental and social responsibility. Engineering solutions for “clean production” were presented by specialists from IAF. In his speech, Ruslan Baimishev, President of the Kazakhstan Mining Chamber, emphasized the importance of combining the efforts of all market participants for the effective implementation of the ESG agenda in the industry. The event confirmed the industry's growing interest in sustainable development issues and strengthened the dialogue between business, experts, and professional associations.
